Thanks for taking my questions. How many players are you looking to add to the team for the 2012-2013 season? Does Penn State have anyone else besides Candice Agee signed?

At this point we are only adding one player to our team in 2012-13, and that is McDonald’s All-America, Candice Agee from. Dara Taylor also becomes eligible to compete for us next year, so we actually will have two new players suiting up for us next year with Candice and Dara. Next year’s roster will feature six high school All-Americans: Candice Agee (McDonald’s), Alex Bentley (Parade), Ariel Edwards (WBCA), Nikki Green (WBCA), Maggie Lucas (McDonald’s) and Dara Taylor (McDonald’s). We should be a fun, exciting team to watch!

The Big Ten Tournament is just around the corner and then the NCAA Tournament is right after that. What is your favorite part about Tournament time?

Great question! There are so many fun parts about tournament time…definitely the competition! There are always great games, with exciting finishes. I also like Selection Monday. It ‘s always thrilling to see your team name pop up on the ESPN Bracket! ☺

What are the keys to the big stretch against Purdue and Ohio State coming up next week?

It is a tough stretch. However, there are some common themes in preparing for both of those teams. (1) We must take care of the ball. If you turn the ball over against them, they will make you pay. (2) We must rebound well. (3) We must contain dribble penetration. If we can do those three things, we should be in good shape!
