Want to Be a College Athlete? Take Ariel’s Advice…

Bucket List Addition

Going to the Eiffel tower was definitely a memorable experience for me.  It is an experience that I will always remember and certainly tell my children about.  When we arrived on the site, Richard, our tour guide, gave us tickets that gave us permission to go to the very top of the tower.  This structure is huge with gaping holes but with stairs and is gated a majority of the way around.

Pink Zone Pride

I have never had to watch someone I love pass away right in front of me.  I’ve never had to hear a doctor tell my mother, my sister, aunt, or best friend that there was nothing that they can do for her.  I never had to lose my hair, my appetite for delicious food, or the feeling of femininity.  I don’t have to wear wigs or smile in spite of my pain.  Every day I am thankful, because I am one of the lucky ones.

Ariel’s Holiday Traditions

Christmas is my favorite holiday. I love spending time with my family and being in the Christmas spirit.  I will be traveling home for Christmas which for me is Elmont, New York.  I spend Christmas with my mothers side of the family.  We have a lot of women in our family.  We love to eat food such as arroz con pollo and tortillas.  We also eat more traditional food such as ham and sweet potatoes.  During the holidays we like to sing Christmas carols and dance to both Spanish and Christmas music.

Number 23

I remember growing up, watching basketball, and loving every second of it.  My favorite player was number 23.  He was lightning quick, tall, and athletic.  Everything I did on the basketball court modeled his style, recaptured the essence of who he was as a player.

The book that I read was called, You Don't Need a Title To Be A Leader.  This book was written by Mark Sanborn.  I really enjoyed this book for the fact that I felt it portrayed leadership in the most sincere way possible.
