Team Building with The Program
Earlier this week the Lady Lions participated in The Program. It was two days of teambuilding and leadership exercises that pushed our team to think through different physical challenges both on the turf field and in the swimming pool.

Bellagio - and I don’t mean the hotel in Vegas…
When we went to Como, Italy we took a boat ride that took us to the town of Bellagio. It was a really beautiful town that sits on the edge of the water and is surrounded by enormous mountains, I have never seen anything quite like it in my life. I walked around and shopped with our managers Jenny and Colleen.

Believe in Me
For my summer movie report I watched Believe in Me. In the movie Coach Driscol moves to a small rural town thinking he is going to coach the men's high school basketball team, when actually he has been hired to coach the women's team. In the town and at the high school nobody really takes the women's team seriously, but Coach Driscol really begins to believe in the heart and passion of the members of his team and they actually go on to win a State Championship.
I chose to watch this movie, because out of the list of movies it was the only won I had not seen yet, so I was curious to see what it was about. What hit home for me the most was to see how little support women's sports had during this time period (1960's).

After scoring my 1,000th point I've been asked a bunch of times about how it feels to reach this milestone, at this point in the season its hard to really focus on how it feels because this last stretch of games is what is most important to the team and me at this moment.

All I Want for Christmas
I am very excited to head home this year for Christmas! I can't wait to see my family and friends. Really looking forward to seeing some of my old high school teammates and hopefully catching a few local games while I'm home.
I didn't ask for much this year for Christmas, just some new clothes..and maybe I'll treat myself to some new kicks too! The best present I ever got as a kid was probably when Santa brought me my macbook, he really took care of me before I headed off to college. And yes I still believe in Santa.. so don't try and tell me my parents bring me all these gifts every year!

USA Basketball - Part 1
When I first received the letter inviting me to try out for the World University Team I immediately thought that I had a lot of work ahead of me in order to prepare for the tryouts, because I was going to be competing with the best players in the country. At the same time, I felt like I had been chosen for a reason, and that I had just as good of a chance at making the team as any of the other girls who were invited.
