Safe, Smart, Scenic. . . Special
State College is located in central, hilly, rural Pennsylvania. It is about a three-hour drive from both Philadelphia and Pittsburgh and has been ranked among the safest and smartest towns in the country.
Downtown is adjacent to campus and houses numerous specialty shops and great restaurants. The Bryce Jordan Center hosts popular performers in concert, and Happy Valley is home to the annual Arts Festival and the famous grilled stickies from The Diner.
Outside town, the beautiful landscape is ideal for outdoor activities like biking and hiking.
