Returning to Prominence
Led by junior All-Big Ten selections Alex Bentley and Nikki Greene, and the prolific outside shooting of Maggie Lucas, the 2011-12 Lady Lions returned to the Sweet Sixteen for the first time since 2004.
With a very deep and balanced squad that returned 10 letterwinners, the Lady Lions followed up last years NCAA berth and lives up to the history of a program that has 23 NCAA Tournament appearances, 24 twenty-win seasons, and a Final Four appearance (2000).
Big Ten Coach of the Year, Coquese Washington, leads the athletically-versatile Lady Lions with a game plan that includes aggressive defense and a run-first mentality. Don't turn your back on the Lady Lions!

The Lady Lions wear the latest apparel and test innovative equipment from Nike before the competition does.
Penn State is a Nike Elite Basketball program and one of Nike's Test Schools. This means the Lady Lions are outfitted with training shoes, basketball sneakers, t-shirts, shorts, travel sweats, sweatshirts, coats, and more each season.
